This area of our website defines the developing organization behind the ‘stone soup’ programs. It takes ‘ingredients’ to make a soup, but it also takes certain ‘utensils/tools’ to be successful. In other words, you can’t make ‘stone soup’ without the basics: a pot, water, fire, and a stone. The corporate office of IGNITE acts as a facilitator to help provide these ‘necessities’ and hopes to expand this outreach to include other ‘staples in our pantry’ (grants and other resources) to help you get started as we grow.

Our greatest resource (ingredient) is our network of contacts in the space, weather, and ocean science content areas. Although we have focused primarily on the topic of space in the past, we are not limited to that topic and enjoy developing new approaches to education with our stone soup partners. We use these themes because of their universal appeal in the hopes of stirring up enthusiasm.
We support education enrichment in and out of school and are not limited by age group or grade (we also run programs for adults). We have worked with non-profit groups (Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, New England Air Museum, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium, Clay Center Observatory, Aldrich Astronomical Society, Christa McAuliffe Planetarium, etc), K-12 schools, colleges/universities, government agencies, and large and small businesses since we began our outreach 7 years ago. Most of our programs have taken place in the |

New England region, but our members/partners have ties across the country as well as internationally.

We do not fund programs, but we will work with you to find ways keep the price down and we will offer suggestions on how to find funding for programs that need it.
Please contact us by email at info@ignitefoundation.org to share your ideas with us. You can also reach us by using our
