The IGNITE Foundation works with its partners and collaborative groups primarily in two distinct ways: through interactive programs that can last one or more days, or through single-day themed events (both small and large). We also work as a facilitator to connect other groups with each other without participating in the events ourselves. This section of our website provides examples of some of the events that we have run and are planning now; but we are not limited to these types of events. Programs are usually designed with a specific topic for individual groups for either a single day (or night like a star-gazing party), or they may be multiple days on the same topic (like an 8 week robotics program). Events are multiple programs and/or presenters brought together for a one day event with a theme (like our 2007 Space Expo, a Science Fair, or a Career Day).

As a grassroots organization, we are excited to work with our partners to see new ideas develop. We believe that everyone (or every group) has something that they are really good at. We try to work with our partners to identify those strengths and combine them with others to make wonderful enrichment programs (just as ingredients combine to make soup.) And as you may know, the longer soups cook, the better they taste!
